What is a Hope Navigator?

Trained through the Hope Navigator Training Program by Dr. Chan Hellman, PhD, we currently have ______ Hope Navigators in Kitsap County.

These are individuals who have spent time within the training - and the continuing Community of Practice - and have developed the ability to strategically utilize "Hope science" as a tool for improving well-being within their respective organizations/industries.

Training Educators to Be Hope Navigators

Educators, counselors, and administrators are uniquely positioned to shift the trajectory of student's lives.

Hope Navigators Learn To:

  • Recognize signs of trauma and stress

  • Respond with compassion instead of punishment

  • Build relationships that foster resilience

  • Guide youth toward goals, resources, and community supports

  • Help students develop hope as a measurable skill

When educators become Hope Navigators, schools become healing environments, not just learning environments.
